Usually when people think of a clothes line, they think of the old metal and rope kind. However, nowadays there are many different kinds of clothes lines. Outdoor lines for drying clothes are probably the most popular. They come in many different materials and with different kinds of rope or wire. The outdoor lines also come in different shapes to help make the drying faster and easier. The other kind of clothing line is the indoor line. Those also come in different shapes and materials. They are also sometimes called drying racks.
The outdoor clothing lines are available in many different shapes, sizes, and materials. There are two that are shaped like umbrellas, with one facing downward like a normal umbrella and the other facing upwards, like an umbrella that has been turned up by the wind. The other shapes available include a square shape, a normal rectangle shape, and a circular shape. There are also different kinds of materials you can choose from when deciding on an outdoor hang-dryer. The variation in materials comes in with the kind of rope or wiring you choose. There are also different ways of setting up your outdoor hang-dryer. You can use a retractable reel or you can use a pulley system to take the rope or wiring off of your dryer. You can use metal wiring, rope or a bungee cord type of rope. The outdoor types of hang-dryers are very large, compared to most of the indoor drying racks. Outdoor drying lines are good for large amounts of clothes and are best if you have a large backyard space, otherwise an indoor drying rack is the best choice.
Indoor clothing lines, like outdoor lines, are also available in many different shapes, sizes and materials. Some of the different shapes include squares, a rectangle shape and circular shape. Indoor racks are normally made of either wood or metal. There are also ceiling racks that are available for the indoors. Also, indoor drying towers are available to those who want to be able to dry more clothes at one time. A positive about the indoor drying racks is that they are more easily collapsible than the outdoor drying lines. However, the indoor drying racks are usually smaller, so you will not be able to dry as many clothes at once using an indoor drying rack as opposed to an outdoor line. With indoor drying racks, there are more options to choose from when it comes to size and shape, since you are able to purchase larger and indoor drying racks, but outdoors lines are almost always big and there are many more shapes available in order to be able to fit different size homes or apartments.
Outdoor and indoor drying lines and racks have come a long way in past fifty years. There are now more shapes, sizes, and materials available for drying racks than ever before. The amount of people purchasing both indoor and outdoor clothing lines has also increased significantly in the past decade.
